   IT Services is currently investigating an issue with the Awards module in Oracle Financials. Users are seeing issues when trying to open the Awards Funding page, resulting in the cursor continuously spinning and ultimately receiving an error of lost connection. IT Services staff have engaged with Oracle and are working on the issue.

At this time, Oracle has not provided an estimated time frame for resolution, and we expect the issue to persist through at least the remainder of the business day.    IT Services staff are actively working with Oracle Support and providing additional diagnostic data as requested to help identify the issue with the Awards function. However, as of 5:00 p.m., it is unlikely that there will be a resolution today. We will continue to work closely with Oracle overnight and provide the next update at or before 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17th.

   IT Services staff and Oracle Support successfully applied a patch earlier this morning and this appears to have resolved the Award Funding issue. However, additional testing is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., which will provide final confirmation that the issue is fully resolved. IT Services will continue work with Oracle to determine the root cause of the issue. The next and hopefully final update will be at or before 11:00 a.m. once testing is completed.

   IT Services staff and Oracle Support successfully applied a patch earlier this morning and this has resolved the Award Funding issue. Additional testing was performed to confirm that the issue is fully resolved. IT Services will work with Oracle to determine the root cause of the issue. This is the final update for this issue.
