Timeline

    investigating
IT Services is receiving reports that users located on-campus and/or cVPN are unable to access both on and off-campus services. The issue appears to be with campus DNS (Domain Name Servers) and is resulting in errors attempting to establish connections from on-campus to other on-campus or off-campus services. Users will notice issues connecting to Zoom and many other externally hosted services from on-campus. Users connected via cVPN and not utilizing services that require it, can work around the issue by disconnecting and relying on their ISPs DNS services, which should work for most services. IT Services staff are investigating the issue.

The DNS vendor recommendation to reboot the campus DNS system was unsuccessful in resolving the issue. IT Services staff continue to be engaged with the vendor of the campus DNS hardware and are working to better understand the issue and develop a fix.
