- Nov 2, 2026, 10:14 UTCinvestigatingIncident Description: We are investigating an issue affecting Spot services for AWS in the us-west-2 region, where increased error rates are being observed. The issue is affecting a subset of customers in the region, who may experience failures or degraded performance when performing scale-up and scale-down operations through Spot. Business Impact: Customers operating in the AWS us-west-2 region may experience failures or degraded performance with scale-up and scale-down operations. Our teams are assessing whether customers in other AWS regions may also be affected. Restoration Activity: Our technical teams are actively investigating the increased error rates and working to determine the full scope of the impact. The investigation includes assessing whether the disruption is limited to the us-west-2 region or extends to additional AWS regions. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
- Nov 2, 2026, 10:49 UTCidentifiedOur technical teams continue to monitor the service disruption affecting Spot services for AWS. AWS has identified the underlying issue and is actively deploying mitigation actions to restore normal service. Our teams will continue to monitor service stability and validate affected Spot operations as AWS progresses with its mitigation activities.
- Nov 2, 2026, 11:36 UTCmonitoringFollowing the mitigation actions implemented by AWS, we are observing a continued reduction in error rates and improved service performance. Our teams are successfully completing the majority of previously affected instance termination operations, and no further errors are currently being observed in our service logs. Service conditions appear stable. Our technical teams continue to closely monitor the service and perform validation activities while awaiting further confirmation from AWS.
- Nov 2, 2026, 13:33 UTCresolvedThe issue affecting Spot services for AWS has been resolved. AWS identified an issue affecting API request processing and implemented mitigation actions to restore normal service. During the recovery period, some customers may have experienced increased throttling when performing instance termination operations. These restrictions have now been lifted, and service is operating normally. Our teams have completed validation activities and will continue to monitor service stability. This incident is now resolved.
