    investigating
We have identified an issue with the GitHub Integration where automated check results for some GitHub pull requests are missing in Vanta. Affected pull requests may show checks as missing or failing even though they ran in GitHub. This may cause tests that rely on these check results to fail, affecting some Vanta customers. We believe this is related to a recent change in GitHub’s retention policy for checks, workflow runs, and statuses (https://github.blog/changelog/2026-10-01-actions-retention-now-covers-checks-runs-and-statuses/). Our team is investigating the root cause and will provide an update as soon as possible.

    monitoring
We have deployed a mitigation for the issue with the GitHub integration where automated check results for some GitHub pull requests were missing in Vanta. Vanta will now keep check results it has already recorded, even after GitHub removes them under its updated retention policy (https://github.blog/changelog/2026-10-01-actions-retention-now-covers-checks-runs-and-statuses/). Some pull requests merged since October 1 may still show missing check results. We are continuing to investigate this and will provide an update as soon as possible.
