    investigating
We are aware of an issue impacting access to the latest Node.js documentation and are currently investigating the cause. Documentation for previous versions of Node.js can still be accessed at their version-specific URLs, such as https://nodejs.org/docs/v24.21.0/api/ For the latest version, v26.11.0, the documentation can also temporarily be accessed at https://beta.docs.nodejs.org/

    identified
We have identified the cause of the v26.11.0 documentation issue as a recent update to our build logic. We are reverting the change and will release v26.11.1 shortly. In the meantime, v26.11.0 documentation remains temporarily accessible at https://beta.docs.nodejs.org/, and previous version docs are unaffected.
  3. Oct 8, 2026, 00:08 UTC
    monitoring
We have released v26.11.1, which resolves the issue preventing access to the latest Node.js documentation. Access to the latest docs at https://nodejs.org/docs/latest/api/ has been restored, and we are currently monitoring to ensure stability. Due to the build issue in v26.11.0, HTML documentation for that release is permanently unavailable (though Markdown and JSON formats remain accessible). Please refer to the v26.11.1 documentation instead.

    resolved
This incident has been fully resolved. The latest Node.js documentation is accessible and updated for v26.11.1 at https://nodejs.org/docs/latest/api/ Further investigation into the updated documentation build logic and plans for future rollouts can be tracked via https://github.com/nodejs/nodejs.org/issues/9207 and https://github.com/nodejs/node/issues/66571
